By Royal Appointment.

On the 29th of May 2002, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II took delivery of the new Bentley State Limousine at Windsor Castle. The vehicle was presented to the Royal household, as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, by a consortium of British Automotive Engineering companies who contributed towards the development of the first State Limousine to be manufactured and supplied by Bentley Motors Limited.

P-TEC were proud to be a member of the consortium who delivered this special vehicle. Unlike previous state limousines which were supplied from Crewe, the design was unique as opposed to being based on a modified production vehicle.

P-TEC were responsible, on behalf of the consortium, for the technical project management of the whole vehicle electrical system as well as providing electrical and electronic system design consultancy services. A total of twenty-six companies contributed towards the design, development and validation of the whole vehicle electrical system alone.

The new Bentley State Limousine successfully completed its duties over the Jubilee period and shall continue to do so long into the future.
