P-TEC Automotive Limited has won a Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) funded contract as part of a consortium led by a leading automotive tier 1 supplier of safety systems, for a project to develop technologies to support the next generation of steering systems.
This £0.5million project aims to bring forward the application of next generation automotive steering systems by developing an advanced power control system. The system is also anticipated to have end-applications in numerous automotive safety systems.
The DTI funded project is a two year collaboration between leading tier 1 suppliers to the automotive industry and two UK universities. P-TEC’s role in the development project is centred around the technical project management and technical integration of the system.
As well as providing an opportunity to work with prestigious automotive suppliers, the project will enable P-TEC to develop a key understanding of future steering and safety systems.
